Hello DK'ers,

I was working on a 6nz... and flashed a 7cz file in. Now it is like the ecm has shutdown. I did not put in any passwords before I disconnected. Now, all I can get is "Blank Box".

Here is the problem...
I can recalibrate the box... which always completes successfully. But the ecm stays blank... except in winflash it will report the last flash file used to flash it in the "Current" flash file part number field.

I have tried pulling the plug off after starting a flash... at %1, which works enough to get winflash to report "Not Programmed" but doesn't really fix this problem.

It always completes a flash as though things are just fine.
But, ET never finds the box afterward except as a blank box!

How can I make this box truly a blank one? It's a 70 pin ecm.
I have tried putting the original flash file back in... but it still won't get recognized by ET as having any calibration in it. Just Blank Box.

Thank You

Those darned 6nz ecms... some of them... well... they just don't like going backwards in time. Happened again yesterday... I believe CAT put some easter eggs inside to prevent backflashing. Put in a flash with a later date and viola! :listen: Beware them CAT Easter Eggs!
