you mean it can make ready keys to start?
or just prepares keys to learn by OBDII?

what about smart keys?

Only OEM keys accpted if you try any other transpoder BCM dump will get currpted from the 2nd try not an issue for dealers as MDI + GDS2 will restore BCM dump online big problem for me and you if you did not save orginal dump when reading PIN

I did key programming offline using another tool called OP-COM , i ment if for some reason BCM data got currpted the only way to fix is by MDI + GDS2 + Online

With it's SW Opel all you have to do ia select Insignia 2011 and proceed with transponder key programming after you have extracted pin from BCM 24c16 inside

I'm not trying Avdi will only headache.
Use adpro, it will be easy and certainly in my case the pin from the ad does not work, is required pin from dealer or digging pin eprom. The key is megamos

Immobilizer Description and Operation

The immobilizer system functions are provided by the body control module (BCM) and the engine control module (ECM), as well as any modules which store and report the environment identifier.

When an ignition key is inserted into the ignition lock cylinder and the ignition is switched ON, the transponder in the key is energized by the immobilizer coil surrounding the ignition lock cylinder. This immobilizer coil is part of the immobilizer antenna (http://alldatapro.com/alldata/PRO%7EV298061011%7EC48872%7ER0%7EOD%7EN/0/159022445/162404551/164672781/164672786/34853741/34866247/34866248). The transponder transmits a signal that contains its unique value, which is received by the BCM. The BCM then compares this value to a value stored in memory. The BCM also monitors various modules to determine if the stored environment identifiers match.

On vehicles equipped with push button start, the immobilizer antenna (http://alldatapro.com/alldata/PRO%7EV298061011%7EC48872%7ER0%7EOD%7EN/0/159022445/162404551/164672781/164672786/34853741/34866247/34866248) is located near the transmitter pocket. Place transmitter in the transmitter pocket. The transponder transmits a signal that contains its unique value, which is received by the BCM. The BCM then compares this value to a value stored in memory.

If both the environment identifier and the value received from the transponder match, the BCM will send the prerelease password via serial data to the ECM. If the encrypted code's unique value is incorrect or the environment identifier does not match, the BCM will send the fuel disable message to the ECM.

When the ECM receives the BCM prerelease password, the ECM will challenge the password. The ECM sends this challenge back to the BCM via serial data. Both the ECM and BCM perform a calculation on this challenge. If the calculated response from the BCM equals the calculation performed by the ECM, the ECM will allow vehicle starting.

The components of the theft system are as follows:

BCM
ECM
Immobilizer antenna (http://alldatapro.com/alldata/PRO%7EV298061011%7EC48872%7ER0%7EOD%7EN/0/159022445/162404551/164672781/164672786/34853741/34866247/34866248)
Ignition key or keyless entry transmitter (http://alldatapro.com/alldata/PRO%7EV298061011%7EC48872%7ER0%7EOD%7EN/0/159022445/162404551/164672781/164672786/34853741/34866247/56494661)
Security indicator
Various modules which store and report the environment identifier

Body Control Module (BCM)

The immobilizer system is an integral part of the BCM and is controlled internally within the BCM. The BCM can learn up to 8 keys (transponder values).

The BCM uses the following inputs:

Environment identifier exchange with various modules
Encrypted code from the vehicle key, received by the immobilizer antenna (http://alldatapro.com/alldata/PRO%7EV298061011%7EC48872%7ER0%7EOD%7EN/0/159022445/162404551/164672781/164672786/34853741/34866247/34866248)

The BCM uses the following outputs:

Prerelease password communication with ECM
Challenge/response with ECM

When an ignition key is inserted into the ignition lock cylinder and the ignition is switched ON, the encrypted code in the key is energized by the immobilizer antenna (http://alldatapro.com/alldata/PRO%7EV298061011%7EC48872%7ER0%7EOD%7EN/0/159022445/162404551/164672781/164672786/34853741/34866247/34866248) surrounding the ignition lock cylinder. The energized transponder transmits a signal that contains its unique value, which is received by the BCM. The BCM then compares this value to the learned key code stored in memory. The BCM then performs one of the following functions:

If the encrypted code value matches the values stored in the BCM memory, the BCM will send the prerelease password to the ECM via serial data.
If the encrypted code unique value does not match the value stored in the BCM, the BCM will send the start disable message to the ECM via serial data.
If the BCM is unable to measure the ignition key encrypted code value, the BCM will not send any messages to the ECM.

Engine Control Module (ECM)

When the ECM receives the BCM prerelease password, the ECM will challenge the password. The ECM sends this challenge back to the BCM via the serial data circuit. Both the ECM and BCM perform a calculation on this challenge. If the calculated response from the BCM equals the calculation performed by the ECM, the ECM will allow vehicle starting.

The ECM will disable vehicle starting if any of the following conditions occur:

The prerelease password is invalid.
The start disable password is sent by the BCM.
No passwords are received. There is no communication with the BCM.
The BCM calculated response to the challenge does not equal the calculation performed by the ECM.

Immobilizer Antenna (http://alldatapro.com/alldata/PRO%7EV298061011%7EC48872%7ER0%7EOD%7EN/0/159022445/162404551/164672781/164672786/34853741/34866247/34866248)

The immobilizer antenna (http://alldatapro.com/alldata/PRO%7EV298061011%7EC48872%7ER0%7EOD%7EN/0/159022445/162404551/164672781/164672786/34853741/34866247/34866248) contains an immobilizer coil which surrounds the ignition cylinder. The coil passively powers the key/fob located in the ignition key when the key is in the ignition. When powered, the key/fob transmits its unique value to the immobilizer antenna, which is then relayed to the BCM via a LIN serial data circuit. The immobilizer antenna also receives B+ and ground from the BCM.

Immobilizer antenna (http://alldatapro.com/alldata/PRO%7EV298061011%7EC48872%7ER0%7EOD%7EN/0/159022445/162404551/164672781/164672786/34853741/34866247/34866248) is used to:

Learn key/keys
To start vehicle with or without RF interference
To start vehicle when key/fob battery is dead

Ignition Key or Keyless Entry Transmitter (http://alldatapro.com/alldata/PRO%7EV298061011%7EC48872%7ER0%7EOD%7EN/0/159022445/162404551/164672781/164672786/34853741/34866247/56494661)

Each ignition key or keyless entry transmitter (http://alldatapro.com/alldata/PRO%7EV298061011%7EC48872%7ER0%7EOD%7EN/0/159022445/162404551/164672781/164672786/34853741/34866247/56494661) contains a transponder with a unique encrypted value. The transponder's encrypted value is fixed and unable to be changed. The immobilizer system uses the ignition key transponder value to determine if a valid ignition key is being used to start the vehicle.

Environment Identifier

Various modules throughout the vehicle learn a specific environment identifier during the module programming process. The environment identifier is learned by each individual module and matches the environment identifier stored in the BCM. Prior to starting, each of the modules which store a environment identifier will compare their identifier to that of the identifier stored in the BCM. If all the identifiers match, the engine starting process will continue. If the environment identifiers do not match, engine starting will be disabled.

Security Indicator

The BCM will command the instrument panel cluster to illuminate the security indicator when the ignition key is in the ON position to indicate a fault has occurred within the immobilizer system and when the engine starting is disabled.

Immobilizer System Component Programming

This procedure will learn the immobilizer function and require greater than 15 minutes to complete. If the battery voltage is low, charge the battery before proceeding with the learn. If the body control module (BCM) or engine control module (ECM) have been replaced, they must be programmed before performing this learn procedure.

Depending on the immobilizer function being learned or the component replaced, different learn functions are required to be performed. These learn functions are as follows:

Connect a scan tool to the vehicle and access SPS. Refer to Service Programming System (SPS) (See: Testing and Inspection\Programming and Relearning\Service Programming System (SPS) (http://alldatapro.com/alldata/PRO%7EV298061011%7EC48872%7ER0%7EOD%7EN/0/159022445/162404551/164672781/164672786/34853741/34869949/124220657/163542522)).
Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
Ensure that all power consuming devices are turned OFF on the vehicle.
Select SPS application and follow the on-screen instructions.
Select Reprogram ECU.
Select IMMO Immobilizer Learn - Setup.
Select the appropriate programming function based on the component that was replaced or is being programmed. Refer to the table at the top of this document for assistance in choosing the correct programming function.
Follow the on-screen instructions.
After programming all keys "Programming Complete" is displayed.
With a scan tool, clear any DTCs.

Many friends ask about this Cruze 2011 in this time pin can be extracted from BCM? Location...?
Best regards

In new Chevy Cruze (or Orlando , or Captiva ) there's not any pin code. Keys are learning by MDI +SPS.

In SPS are several immo programming functions

-If replaced BCM (when performing this, the new BCM learns the keys registered in Engine ECU)
-If replaced Engine ECU (when performing this, the engine ECU learns the keys registered in the BCM)
-To add keys
-If replaced Engine ECU and BCM (also if all keys are lost or if accidentally erased from BCM and PCM, NEW keys are necessary(can be just one))
-Transponder diagnose (to ensure the key transponder is well recognized... if this presents a problem youll need a new key or check BCM and ImmoCoil reader)

I've already solved a problem with a cruze with no keys and no BCM so I can tell about it that:

IF YOU WANT TO INSTALL A NEW BCM.
the new BCM comes totally virgin and needs an EEPROM programming (configuration) and FLASH (programming) and IMMO programming.
In SPS it is necessary to:
-Program BCM (Functions programming)
-Configure BCM (mileage learning, tire pressure, etc.)
-Perform immo programming, selecting the "only BCM replace". (the software will guide into a 12 min wait and open/close switch and driver's door).

IF YOU WANT TO INSTALL A NEW ENGINE ECU
the new PCM comes totally virgin and needs an EEPROM programming (configuration) and FLASH (programming) and IMMO programming.
In SPS it is necessary to:
-Program PCM
-Configure PCM
-Perform immo programming, selecting the "only PCM replace". (the software will guide into a 12 min wait and open/close switch and driver's door).

IF A USED BCM
The SPS asks for a new or unlocked BCM
Here are two virgin DUMPS
If the SPS pops an error of part number mismatch, try keeping the 24c16 original info until address 008F and replacing the rest of the dump with the info of the virgin dumps. (it worked for me)
-Program BCM (Functions programming)
-Configure BCM (mileage learning, tire pressure, etc.)
-Perform immo programming, selecting the "only BCM replace". (the software will guide into a 12 min wait and open/close switch and driver's door)

IF A USED PCM
If you have the old PCM just swap the AM29F800BB memory.
If the old PCM is not available try working with attached files because the VIN of the PCM has to match with the rest of the car modules and the environment id as to match also.

I think the environment ID could be the code present in the configured BCM in the A7,A8,A9,AA addresses and in the configured PCM in the 4810,4811,4812,4813 addresses

The SPS also has a "Prepare to desinstall" function in BCM and PCM programming, that I suppose is to prepare the ECU for a installation in a different car but dont know exactly for what it is.

192512 192513

The BCM files are two virgin dumps of different part number and the programmed BCM dump with 1 key that matches with the files of the programmed PCM also attached.

The PCM files are 1 dump of the PCM with no keys programmed, 1 dump of the PCM with the key programmed and the environment ID successfully matched (car starts) and 1 dump of the same PCM with the function "prepare to desinstall" performed.

Does anyone certainly know for what is that "prepare to desinstall" function?
