After updating my DM800SE clone to OpenPLi, the box seems not to recognise its tuner. When I go into Setup -> Service Searching -> Tuner Configuration I am presented with the screen shown here.

I've reseated the tuner - although it wasn't loose. It made no difference. The DM hasn't been bumped, jumped, humped or thumped. Every other function works (so far as I can tell) as it should. It just doesn't seem to think it has any tuners installed.

The image I installed was: OpenPLi-2.1-beta-dm800se-20111015.nfi and I have the SSL84 bootloader on the box. It's my opinion that this is 100% a software problem, not a hardware problem or a problem with the tuner.

Can anyone offer some suggestions about what software or drivers I may need to install/upgrade to turn this box from an expensive doorstop back into a satellite receiver?

Thanks

I pulled a copy of Newnigma2 per. your link and that sees the tuner AND is currently scanning 28.2E.

As a footnote, before flashing the OpenPLi version I took, I tried maybe 5 or 6 other links to OpenPLi images. A lot of those links were dead (even though they were less than a month old). One that I unrar'd turned out to be corrupted and another which called itself *dm800se* turned out to be the wrong architecture. So far, I'm less than impressed with OpenPLi - even the one image that did flash successfully didn't work

Having similar problem. After online update tuners are gone.
I will try your solution and download new firmware.
