You could try flashing the image, then immediately flashing the SIM2 bootloader before re-booting - that should work

I would stick to a SIM2 image as well. It may be though that someone want's this particular image.

I have put a SIM2 SSL82 DE Blackhole phoenix edition image on a Ferrari box by flashing the Ferrari SSL over the top as I couldn't find a phoenix for Ferrari.

Installed this tonight but cant get ts panel installed.
Keep getting green screen so back to square one.
Possibly a skin problem so will try a few others.

To be fair I got a reliable Ferrari 800, no fan, but runs fine, runs 24/7 too an never let me down, between the 2 I prefer sim2 , seem to release images more often an faster releases too , wish the 2 teams could put all there efforts into customer support rather than hacking websites ....alledgedly lol

Are you using Rytec as your EPG source?

Was using Rytec and Satmate but Satmate has been down and Rytec has started to crash the box,green screen so thought i would try a different image hence trying this one.

The image can work on ALL boxes, with latest sim available. So you can replace the SSL if you want for your box.

The image is very stable and no green screens as mjaraf tells. Naturally you need to install the latest update from the Addon Panel. Mjaraf, try, you will see it works good.

Sim2 extra software is not properly working, I guess some incompatibility on their software. Just don't install it if you don't want to corrupt images.

Every time i tried to install Ts Panel i got green screen crash have you tested this?
Also i couldnt get epg to work so went back to Ferrari Dreamelite image and that works again.
Shame cos the black skin looked quite cool.
Didnt understand all the icons on the screen though barring the obvious ones.

When installing, also update to latest update from the Addon Manager, like that the image will have the latest functions updated and working.

Last update up to today is from the Oct 28th. So definitely would be good idea to install + update from Addon manager.

Can somebody explain any advantage of Ferrari sim over sim2.1 . I have recently purchased a Dm800hd se sim 2.1 after owning a ferrari 800hd. I find sim2.1 far easier and support of images is easily accessed. Although I am a novice i would appreciate someome to explain why peeps would choose Ferrari over sim2.1.:party:

Hi.
I'm currently running this image on my Ferrari Duo v2 and have a couple of questions I hope someone can help me with.
I'm looking to uninstall some of the plugins and skins that I do not use. The skins were installed via the Ferrari Add-ons page (green then yellow buttons) and the plugins are some of the default ones, such as meoboot, return the love and dyndns.
None of these is showing up in the original Software Manager so I'm guessing I might have to manually remove them via FTP.
If anyone can advise me I'd be very grateful as I want to free up some memory from the flash.

You need to "telnet" to your box and you can remove all skins and plugins you want with a simple command "rm -r "+name of folder.

Skins are in folder :
/usr/share/enigma2

Plugins are in folder :
/usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/Extensions
