mercedes W211 radio power

Hi all
i have 2003 Mercedes e class radio i power the radio on the radio powers on no sound nothing for 10 seconds and shuts off.

anyone had this issue please let me know

BAD radio software or
Gateway Optical wires etc

Had mercedes ml. There was no power at tele aid unit and hence no sound. Same if you unplug optic cable. Just it should not turn off. Atleast i did not in my case. Star says anything?

As mafia says, first you should check fiber optic conections (all conections) in your audio system (not only radio, check CD Changer if you have, power amplifier...) Seems like its your problem.
