Hi Guys
My Half Price for a Year Sky deal is ending this month! So what can I use with the dish I have hanging up?
I pondered a Spiderbox last year, but from what I remember thats motorised.
Alternatively if I want Live Footy and Films whats the easiest system to use in terms of it not going wrong (reliability)
Thanks in advance chaps
Steve

you can hook up any sat box, just you will be stuck on 28e
you can pay anything from ?50 - ?500 depends on what you want, you can even put a quad LNB on the dish and have 4 boxes in different rooms, or a duel tuner box ( like VU+ Duo or Extrend ET9000 ) and be able to record and watch different channels at the same time.

pretty much the same as both replies above. although i would recommend a TM600pvr over it's Dreambox E1 counterparts.
you could also keep the sky dish where it is and install a second larger motorized dish at a later date something around 80cm's to 1 meter in size then couple both dishes to a decent duel tuner E2 receiver such as a ET9000 and have the absolute best of both worlds allowing you to watch or record channels on sky while also having the ability to watch or record channels on other foreign satellite networks at the same time.

so the TM600 and Dreambox need a motorised dish for them to be worth while.
So my best bet is to get a Technomate, a motorised dish and 'cardshare'? correct?

if you want to get the best out of the receivers then yes a motorized dish is the way to go, however any receiver will work happily on a fixed dish with no problems at all.
