MB Vito '00 - Strange clocks problem- loosing main mileage

Hi Everyone
I got MB Vito last time with odometer problem. All gauges are working perfect just odometer resetting once every week and make 0km on the dash. Not daily mls but main mileage.
I have change processor, program new km to 90.000mls and after one week mileage was back to 90.000mls. After another week mileage back to 0mls and start counting.
I have checked solder joints, there is nothing strange.
What could be a reason? What else response for mileage memory.
What other electronic parts need to be check??
Another dash is hard to get and a bit expensive.
Some one had the same problem maybe?

wicked - can only suggest the fuse box under the seat has got full of pig piss - corrupting the unit.

ON/OFF TOPIC:-

Early peugot 406 - no bsi - same problem - just - neg - pos - ign - never did work out why.

See if you can cut it's power feds and run fresh ones.

maybe you have there another defective mcu or wrong flash mcu contents ...

I think the flasdata is defect same problem as with the Audi Magneti many times the flash is defect

Not always the flash. Many times the cpu has internal defect. Try to hot it and see.

OK so we know MCU or flash can be faulty. But question is how to verified?
I have change MCU and problem is still not fix to I hardly believe MCU contents is defective.
There is another problem, one bulb light up the dash desnt work now (bulb is good) and no sign of blue indicator when beam (long) lights are on.

P.S. Whole Vito has many small lights around (xmas tree), extra fog lamps on the bottom and on the top. Some one made poor job, installation is not secured, connected with original lamps.

look at codecard website you can buy processor with flash, may solve your problem

I was thinking about this, but still have few mcu for this dash so maybe someone will share with correct dump to compare?

could be the actual connection of mcu on pcb, flux and reheat mcu

well, after 12 posts in this thread the milage is going to be IN-correct - just get a set from scrapyard - write down the milage - stick them in - let costomer drive for a bit.

See if they 00000 themselves

Meat head, the guy got the second hand clocks from vito '02 same engine, toomorow will fit it and just wonder any special cooding has to be done or just plug&play?
