Hello friends,
i've ordered last 10th October 5 pcs of sunray 800 se from China.
I'm from Italy, and the shipment was made of 2 shipment. The first from CHina to UK.The second from UK to Italy(With parcelforce).
I've checked my tracking number on parcelforce site, but the status is the same from 11th October.
"STATUS: ADVISED" and. "WDM ONLINE"
I've written to China shipment company and they told to me that the parcel is in uk customs waiting for an inspection.
I'm afraid of not receive my parcel...anymore http://www.digitalworldz.co.uk/images/smilies/sad.gif
It's normal that the custom checks takes more than 12 days? Will i receive my parcel by your opinion?
What you advice me to do?
Let me know please.
Thanks a lot friends.

I had a similar experience with a gps system from USA. After a couple of weeks I had a card to tell me I must pay ?20.50 customs mail handling charge before it could be delivered.
I dont think you will lose your parcel but it will cost you duty and vat.

@barryt:
where do you live friend?I live in Italy and i dislike to wait for many time waiting a card...which maybe can be lost during shipment...
I would like to contact UKcustoms directly because i've waited too much till now.
Is there a manner to speed-up the communication with UKcustoms? Is possible to ask them via email and pay taxes via creditcard?Have you got the Ukcustoms email?
Anyone can confirm me that buying sunray 800 se is legal?
Let me know asap.
Thanks a lot

Anyway, what appens when UKcustoms hold a parcel?
Do they send me a letter in which is written how to pay custom taxes?
How many days does it take to arrive to you (in UK) this letter?
How long does it take to arrive to Italy?
Which is the best thing I can do now?(wait?/Call the Ukcustoms?)
I'm very worried about my parcel...
Let me know please.
Thanks a lot

I understand that the courier company collect the customs duty. Try phoning Parcelforce or use the contact feature on their site and ask them.

you will get your parcel ....eventually.....the customs will give it back to the courrier...who need to pay the customs before it can be given back to them. but as the parcel is not for the uk...i don't understand how the uk customs can make a charge. surely it's down for the customs of the country that the parcel is for to make charge

The UK is the point of entry to the EU, that's why they get jurisdiction in this case.

"Advised" could mean that a collection was booked, but not collected. Is there any tracking details showing collection and checking through various locations?

I've contacted the seller...i contact it everyday, and he always says to me that the parcel was sent on 11th October from China.
Is possible that i was scammed by the seller?
Is impossible by your opionion that the parcel is in Ukcustoms?
So if i have well understanded,my seller has booked the shipment, but he hasn't shiped. Is it possible friends?
Thanks

if your shipment is with ukcustoms at heathrow then no matter what you do you can not rush these guys , they are above the law ,
they have keys to dhl warehouse with a side room with held shipments in it, and dhl cant get it out with them releasing it ,
if its dm800se clones then they may be writing to dream multimedia with photos of units , to establish if copyright has been infringed ,
i had a similar issue earlier this year in which they confiscated my order due to copyright , they advised me i could appeal , however if i lost i would be liable for additional court costs , the letter explained if i didnt reply , this would be interpreted as my acceptance of the copyright infringement and goods would be destroyed , tracking info said "awaiting customs clearence".
hopefully your order is not with customs and some mixup at dhl

They aren't dm800se clones branded "dreambox"...they are sunray 800 se.
The parcel is sent (i hope) by parcelforce , not by dhl.
Anyone of you can tell me if it's possible to know if the Chinese seller has booked but not collected my item?
Thanks a lot friends

Dear friends,
i've paid with western union :(
The price with western union was 6% discounted, so i choose to pay with it.
This seller was for me a trusted seller because i've always received my items(in the past i've bought 3 sunray 800se paid via paypal).
So there isn't any money protection...as i know...right?
Anyone can ensure me that with sunray 800 se there isn't any customs problems?
anyone can help me to call uk customs for searching my parcel? My English spoken is not so good to talk at telephone :(
Or is there a manner to contact customs with email?
Thanks a lot friends

Normally customs ask you for your invoice once they receive it ,they then tell you how much the charges will be and the day the parcel will be delivered . Hope this helps.

I've written again to parcelforce, and they just replied me:
Dear Luca
Thank you for your email.
I am sorry but the tracking number that you have supplied is not showing any tracking details for the UK.
Until the item arrives within the UK we have no tracking details to outline where the parcel is and no jurisdiction to search for the item. Due to this, I advise you to contact the sender or the country of origin to establish when and how they sent the parcel, its due delivery date and also, to check that the tracking number you have provided is related to this parcel.
Once the item arrives in the UK, delivery is usually first attempted within 2 working days.
Providing the item was sent on a trackable service we will be able to investigate its whereabouts. You can track the progress of your item at www.parcelforce.com (http://www.parcelforce.com/)
I am sorry I am unable to help you further at this stage.
If you require any further information or assistance, please reply to this email showing all conversations we have had on this enquiry.

I've written to "HM Revenue & Customs" about my parcel and they replied me:
Dear Sir or Madam
Thank you for your email.
Unfortunately we have no means of tracing imported postal packages either before or during processing and customs clearance, which is carried out by the UK Border Agency, not by our Department.
If Parcelforce have already advised you that your package is not yet in the UK then it cannot be held by UK Border Agency.
For information a package coming to the UK from outside the European Community remains under the control of the sender's postal carrier until it arrives in the UK, where the importer's postal carrier then takes charge of it. This is not under customs control. In due course the carrier presents the package to UK Border Agency for customs clearance and charges, if necessary.
You may be able to check the current status of your package using the tracking service available to customers on either the exporting postal carrier's website or the UK carrier's website.
If not, you might wish to go back to the sender to ask whether he or she might be able to find out any information from their own parcel carrier.
I'm sorry I can't be of more help, and hope you will locate your item soon.
I must emphasise that the advice given is based on the information you supplied. If the nature of the transaction changes in technical detail, or the relevant details provided were incomplete or incorrect, we will not be bound by this ruling.
Yours faithfully
Is this a confirm that my parcel has been lost?
Let me know friends.
Thanks a lot.

Your parcel could be with UK border agency, as the sender has tracked it to here, your tracking wont activate until the parcel is released, which cannot be rushed no matter who you ring or write too

So the best thing to do is to wait?

Do you have a tracking number for the Chinese courier rather than Parcelforce? When I have had packets come through Parcelforce, they don't show the tracking data until it's physically in their possession. The Chinese company tracks it out of China.
When DHL is used, they show full tracking for the whole journey.
fabiogrosso
27th October, 2011, 04:41 PM
THe tracking number is the same for Chinese Courier and parcelforce.
The chinese company is sendfromchina.com
The site has problems with all tracking numbers from last week. Before it worked and i send you a screenshot of when it worked.
The only way to know about a parcel is writing them with email
By your opinion my parcel is holded in customs?

Hello friends,
i have not received my parcel yet and i'm more and more worried about it.
i have some interesting details to give you.
These details could help you to help me :-)
I have ordered 3 months ago from the same seller 2 sunrays paid via paypal and shiped with EUEXP, on the parcel surface i've received there was a Uk address.
So i think that the parcel was first shiped to "SUntek PPC london, cirrus House, Bedfront Road Heathrow Airport, Staines, Middlesex, tw19 7NL" and then to my home.
...
So i think that every parcel sent with EUEXP by my seller passes through "Suntek PPC London"...
Do you know if what i'm saying is correct?
Let me know friends,
Thank you

I'm very worried about it...it's a big value parcel :-(
They told me to call a number of Heathrow airport...02089103803 ...i hope to have well understanded...Is correct this number?
Anyone of you can help me to call heathrow airport?
my english is not so good.
I'm afraid my parcel has been lost or stolen :-(
Can you help me friend please?
Thanks a lot!!!

Hi
Clearly something is not right here, think going through the thread dont think you have once mentioned who the seller is to see if anyone else has had any dealings with them.
You mention the china courier and parcelforce and uk customs etc but not the seller. Seems to me you have been given a false tracking number or something as im sure by now you would know something for sure if shipment had been sent and tracking number was correct.
Think you should be on the sellers back and not the couriers, needless to say as you paid by western union its not looking good. I really hope you get your goods but dont get your hopes up. Not what you want to hear but thats the way its looking.
fabiogrosso
11th November, 2011, 11:09 PM
The tracking number is correct and the recipient's address is correct, i've asked all information about my parcel at sendfromchina.com service.
I think that is not important to say the name of the seller...if you want it i can say it to you by PM...but i think that is not correct to speak ill of a person if him can solve the situation in other manner.
I'm treating a solution with my seller.
I think i was not scammed by by seller, but maybe from courier company or anyone that tranferred the parcel from euexp to parcelforce.

Hi
Thats up to you, my intention was only to see if anyone else had dealings with the seller and maybe get an idea if seller was reputable whereby it would ease the worry knowing seller was good an indeed goods are somehow lost in the system somewhere.
Most of us deal with a few reputable sellers from china and have had no problems hence the reason asking you sellers name to see if it was the usual reputable sellers other than that I have no need of wanting to know your seller.
Having said that I cant believe courier or anyone else handling it would scam you knowing that once collected they are accountable and traced so if it has been collected from seller then like others have said just hang fire and see if it turns up.
fabiogrosso
12th November, 2011, 12:20 AM
I'm treating for a solution with my seller and until i have no response i can't leave a negative/positive feedback for him on the web.
I've ordered 2 times from this seller before this "scam".
The first and second time 'ive paid with paypal (2 sunrays per time) and received the parcel with no problem...both times shiped with euexp.
I've orderd another time 2 sunray800se after the "scam" paying with paypal and received them with no problem(fedex).
So for the moment i have an advice to all people...don't pay with westernunion even if the price is 10% less!!!
Anyone can help me to call Uk border agency to well understand about my parcel?I have problem to Understand English spoken at phone...
If anyone of you can help me.I can give you a little reward.
Thank you
