So it hasn't been softmodded or chiped and you only trying to read original game discs? Or are you trying to read burn't discs, as it ever read burn't discs before? What system version is your Wii?

If you've had it apart to fit a new laser you haven't left anything inside or bits loose? Or the kids haven't stuffed toffee papers in there?

Oh lense cleaners for work it just didn't work with your fault.

hi no it has not been modded and i am trying to run a original disc.the serial number is leh21348998[2] model no rvl001 eur after fitting the laser the disc was running and came up with the common error saying eject the disc which it was coming up with before.i slightly pressed down on the disc area which seems to be when it seemed to stop the disc running.i was trying to isolate where the noise was coming from.i am not sure if it was coming from the motor area that the laser moves up and down from?

I don't think I can suggest much what you're already tried.

There is Nintendo for discs that won't play.

Well I purchased a faulty dvd drive wii unit .... in the end I was going to change the dvd but just ended up "modding" it to use with an external 2.5 hard drive ....Why not do that ?

Info to mod etc...
