just done timing belt on my 1.5 dci and gunned the pulley onto the crank with my new 18volt snap on impact gun, with timing pin in place
is it possible to use a torque wrench to torque it up or will it **** the timing as it has the floating pulley with no keyway

Hi
Best is to Torque it and be sure........... as I don't trust battery impact guns....... you can go wrong if battery has gone flat :banghead:

make sure use full charged battery like ash says you can tell by the sound of the gun and also look at bolt you can tell as nut turns less and less
the lad that works for me snapped wheel nuts an a micra with it it has good torque around 600 pounds feet

Pull rubber bung out top of gearbox and lock the flywheel with a screwdriver then torque the bolt up. Make sure the pully and crankshaft is clean and has no oil, grease, coolant or anything else on it.
