yeah hardware is the same, both have a MPC555 family processor, differences in sw e.g the RSA signature, firmware etc.... can it be read with BDM? or other tools etc..

Hi
It can be read and written by obd with some interfaces (my cmdflash) for example, but then the car will not start, cks & rsa signature.
I think with bdm clone is the same problem.
With original cmdflash, no problem to do for BDM, I make several Focus RS.
Regards.

I have seen someone use a tool called trasdata via BDM pads, but bring a mpc555 in it, you would think it would be read by BDM.

Note "bdm" is comms method, not specific tool e.g BDM100.

BDM100 clone wont have the algo for this MPC.
