Hi guys,

This has had me and my mate absolutely baffled. I'm running the latest PLI software with a original DM800 HD and I'm trying to install my new internal sata hard drive. For the life of me, after several flashes, to original, t othe latest PLI, I cannot see "hard drive" in the menu to install it. The drive has been formatted to the correct file system. I just don't know what to do now, I can't even install tspanel either!!

Help!

Billy

I have just copied this from a recent post of mine:I have had my box (dm800se)for just over a week now and have had 6 different images on and without doubt i find :Sat4fun-newnigma2_DM800SE-Sim2_ssl84.nfi......awesome,it has all the bells and whistles pre-installed, which i have found out big time saves you a lot of chew and hassle when you cannot install the like of TSpanel etc without a lot of messing about!!!!!!!!
If it was me i would flash a new image, one i have learned is that certain addons with certain images can cause you a right pain!

openpli is the best image manage external devices automatically but no device manager in openpli but you can use TSpanel/system tools/device manager and also should be no problem with installing TSpanel to openpli but plugins should be installed by opkg command not ipkg command

Dont worry to much i had ca error and green screen during the last few days, from what i have been told its very hard to brick it,just be careful if you put this image on when it asks for an update, say no and disable nag updates in menu.
