Seems that with a 1m down south many are pulling in well over 300 channels. Probably wont be worth trying for me here in Scotland. Might give it a bash at the weekends.

Hi dick, I think you might find some of these TPs are on the sat next door.
But there is definatley an improved singal strength, I am not far from you in west yorks using a very old 90cm philips gregorian. 52% signal quality across all channels, vertical and horizontal, SD and HD.

yeah your right mate they are on 8W, my fault for rushing into print.how about 11.298 H(rotana) 12.341H(al hadath) and 11.226V(alkahera) I"m getting 48% on both the V & H and will have another play later. 12.169 V (winTV) is the only other one.

Hi. No i was unable to try it because i took my LNB down yesterday to go and sort out a problem for a friend. I will try it today. Can you give me a couple of working transponders for this satellite so i can see if i have them in my receiver. I will let you know this evening, but i know that i get 5 WEST and 8 WEST channels. Thanks

Hi. Thanks for the frequency. Only problem is that i have put the LNB back and i can only get the EAST satellites ie 13, 19, 28, 39, 42 and 45. No WEST satellites. I think that when i put the LNB back i may have nudged the dish. I will have to bring a small TV and receiver out to the front of the house tomorrow and re-align the damn dish. Again thanks for the info and will let you know tomorrow the outcome. Regards.

a 90cm gregorian dish has probably got more gain than your 1.1 dish. if the dish is a triax then its not quite 1.1m. when recieving out of footprint satellites its really pot luck as to whether you can recieve it as there are no real consistancys in signal levels and according to the footprint we shouldnt be recieving anything at all in the uk with normal sized dishes. regards mdt

I must admit guys since my 1st post signal strenth has dropped, weather dependant probably, crap saturday good sunday and crap today.
I have atempted to attach some pics.
At one point i had over 300 hundred channels, but i have deleted numerous transponders (nothing on I am interested in watching) I am into films, premier league football prefreably in HD and news feeds, so i have to keep the txps down,

had my ladders out at the weekend as a bit slack on the work side got my meter on the dish did some tweaking and a full scan later brought me 670 channels in both SD and HD noticed that a few of the OSN HD movie and sport channels have moved over to the new sat so thats good news.

Should be picking up nearer 1000 channels but living near a busy main road road does not help with interference.

You should be able to pick these up in london no problem depending on your location and what type of RF interference you may have around you like streetlamps, Overhead power and BT lines these all factor.

The TM5400 has a great sensitive tuner and should give you a good margin over one of the E2 receivers
