dm800clone oh dear

trying to add a line for friend .he had gemini pre installed. using dhcp.

decided to reflash wit nemesis 2.3 also tried pli . for sim 2.01 ssl 82. ( bearing in mind i have a sim 1 with ferrari sim upgrade working fine )

now BIG problem .. like the old dm 500s a fault where the network interface is not connecting to the box and net .

peeing me off this thing is quite new.

it will not accept a nameserver ( static ip for the box) all settings are fine .

if i cant get this to work i will never get a clone again and will tell people to not either ..

now i have to tell the lad hope its in warrenty .
trust me to get this crap with fault . he not going to be happy

Nothing whatsoever to do with it being a clone mate. If it boots select dhcp in network menu an connect Ethernet cable from router . You shouldn't need to enter any other settings when dhcp is selected

done it m8 to no prevail ..

had this prob with dm 500 clones ..then switched to tm 500 and never ever had a prob with network interface .

im on my last try ..this morning wasted to much time.

just seems orig boxes never get this fault.

even if i turn off dhcp say then give static ip ..then try the network flash way ..still stays on dhcp on the front of the reciever ..when it should say the ip i gave it ..

just does what it wants i think m8 ..

When you boot the box for an Ethernet flash, it gets a DHCP offer from your Router, it does NOT take any notice of what you set in the image settings as the image is not running, box is only running the Bootloader at that time.

As you have loaded the wrong Bootloader for your SIM, that is the problem, not the box. SIM2 images do not work with SIM1 or Ferrari SIM's. You may be able to fix it with Optiflasher and do the Ferrari fix

i loaded sim 2.01 image ..not sim 1 .. wouldnt of thought it would of worked if i did wrong .no ca would prob apear ...anyway nevermind

i have two boxes one with sim 1 working and m8 with sim 2.01. nemesis suports both sims m8 ..



right took to my m8s hoose and explained what was happening . and can you belive it came on ..

can anyone explain to me why this would not work .

never ever had a prob before .my router is bt hub..im baffled why.. also i could only flash with serial( dreamup) because .dhcp was on in boot..so no ip address apeared to flash .. through network .m8
