I have problems using my ols16 with engine runnning. engine often splutters or even stops when I edit values. therefor I would like to deactivate checksums in my edc15v/ 038906012ah.
I already searched in damos but I was not succesfull!
Somebody knows where to find the switch?

:) You don't need to correct checksum. I would like to know how to delete/deactivate checksum verifying in EDC15V....

It isn't the checksum that gives troubles.
It is the timing from the OLS16. It is to slow.
Even with the OLS300 this occur.
Don't change a value while ecu is reading at that address.
Checksum in EDC15 is only checked at startup of the ECU.

hmm. checksum makes sense. but ols speed doesn't...
what exactly is to slow?access time of RAM?

Not to change currently readed values is hard ;) mostly you have to edit exactly these values...

BTW. Does a ols300 work with any cracked WinOLS version?

Acces time of the FPGA in the OLS.
Together with the flat-cable you can get trouble.
Also interference from injector drivers or what I experienced from ignition drivers.
I don't know if OLS300 works with cracked version I have original winols

I need to deactivate checksum anyway. Now I got Problem with EEPROM. IMMO gets activated sometimes when ECU realizes OLS16 adjustement. I got to know that checsum option/developement mode is stored in EEPROM 24C04 just like IMMO.

For ME7 there are tools to deactive Checksum:
Unitronic Chipped - UNI Setting V 1.4 (http://www.unitronic-chipped.com/main/en/tuning/uni_setting.html)

Maybe someone knows how to delete it in EDC15V EEPROM?
