Hi,
I upgraded my Tm5402 firmware today with the latest patch.
I followed the instructions perfectly, but now I have uploaded my channel list most, not all, of my channels are saying no/audio. A few channels still work but this is the same across all sats. I've currently got a motorised setup and I am sure it has got something to do with the alignment being messing up.
If i goto the motorised settings page and press "move east" once the signal quality goes to 97% then if I rescan I get all channels back. But if I try to do this for the other sats, they all seem to mess up again. Its as if I can only get one sat align at a time.
Where am i going wrong?
Please help!
Thanks

Hi are you using USALS or DISECQ( 1.2)??. With DISECQ you can only tune in one sat at a time anyway. Your best bet is to find out which sat you are on and make sure the signal strength is high then save it. Then set the motor setting to OFF and SAVE changes. Exit out of menus and check channels working for that sat. The NO VIDEO/AUDIO message could indicate that you have found an active frequency but on the wrong sat. For example ASTRA 19 EAST has similar frequencies to FREESAT 28 EAST. I have had this problem a few times when i been messing about with the motor. Like i said you need to establish which sat you are currently on and then tune in the other sats one by one. Let us know if you need further help.

Hi nutsandbolts, thanks for the help! I sorted it... The problem was simply a case of me having to re-input my longitude and latitude position because the update or factory reset had also reset these settings!
I was pulling my hair out trying to solve it. Even spent nearly an hour just trying to figure out how to input a minus sign before realising that I didn't even need to!!!
All sorted in the end tho... :D

Hi. Good news. Remember in future when you do a firmware ,patch or keys upgrade you dont need to do a FACTORY RESET. If you do, as you have found out, it will reset everything back to its original settings. Take care.

the best way to do patch upgrade would be
1)back up channel list
2)factory reset
3)load original technomate firmware(can be got from technomate.uk download section)
4)factory reset
5)load latest patch (after this load latest addon if you did not do this before))
6)factory reset
7)put back channellist and rescan all channels in use
if you don't use this method in between patches you might get stuck with bugs/problems on your tm
cause old bits of patches/firmware may remain in your tm.
and it is very important to do factory resets
and when you backup your channellist all your settings will be saved in your cndf file so when you put back your channel list after upgrades things will be the same again.

what channels are you trying to get?
just do a blind scan or find the transponders on LyngSat (http://www.lyngsat.com/) and add them to your transponder list
and scan, no need to put in DVB S2 your tm does this automatic

Does factory reset mean it will reset the patch to the original firmware?

no mate you need to reload the original software to do that

factory reset will clear out the memory
that's why you would have to back up your channellist

Factory reset -Load patch, then factory reset again- then load softcam.
Then scan or load a valid channel list.
