Great idea,
Digital vernier ?50.00
Set of files ? 30.00
3 hours to make a mess of some blanks at ?4.00 each

Great saving over paying a lockie ?8.00 or so, to cut it correctly first time in minutes. on his ?5000 machine

Did you smoke a funny bent little ciggie before posting

I would hope we all have a caliper and some files already, blade key work is painfully simple.

Haha, it's a basic lock smithing skill mate.

Of course I prefer to make the machine do all the work but most competent locksmiths will be able to knock up a double sided car key in less than 10 mins using an impression file and verniers.

Last time I had to do it was on the road, my HCP blitz machine broke a guide so I couldn't use it.
Do I drive 45 mins back to the workshop, cut the key then drive 45 mins back to the car or do I use a bit of brain power and finish the job right there?

:)

No key codes from dump from Fiat, Ford or VW.

With Opel immo 1 & 2, AD100 can get key number without turning on the ignition. Handy when theres no car pass in the car.

Download Instacode 2008 from here an then you can do your own codes. (link originally posted by obdmaster)

When installed, select activate by phone and use the bottom section of the keygen. :top:

No mate, AD100 only for Opel immo 1 & 2. You have misread my post. For VW you wont get codes. Ford you will get from a dealer, if you make friends with them.

To get key number for Opel on AD100 without switching ignition on, select model from the menu and ignore when the tester asks you to turn the ignition on, you will still get comms.
