I would like a remap to take full advantage (more power) from the following items i have installed onto the M52TU 2.8 Liter engine

Full Magnaflow catback exhaust
aftermarket headers
M54B30 intake manifold
Cold air intake
193HP
Siemens MS42
2.8L

I like this thread very much. Although I fear that it's all a hoax to get as many standard and tuned files without having to do any work.
At least kitioni and his PUNTO 1.4GT have given up hope and opened up another thread.

Please supply these guys with free maps? Just like you promessed. I sure do hope some of these unlucky blokes live somewhere around me.
I need some more engines to overhaul this winter.

You ever thought he might just want loads of original dumps to sell? Or so that he can remap them and sell them elsewhere, like on eBay?

Hi,were i am ,a long long time ago the cost of a remap was 600 euros,after 500,now 250...200...150...!?
And i think that now for this prices using original software are not " Personalized remap " but copies of work made.

Yes i will do this wehn i doesent find i file for this Car. Its better dont open & solder out the Flash Eprom wehn its possible to do it via OBD. i dont like to solder on ECUs wehn i dont must its always possible to damage somthing.

Freaking hell.. requests just keep piling up.. chaps with 2.0d and 170 2.0tdi dont mind loading cheep crap on they motors.. wtf? please just stop this nonsense.

We all understand the recession is in full swing, but come on, wake up people, no respectable tuner will do this for free. with a free map you will get either 70% of increase you'd get from a quality map and crap mid torque, or shite tune causing your car to be undriveable or fail altogether. Simples.

I have no money cause my engine takes 5l oil per month, probably something to do with the mileage which is 260k. please make boost 20psi as I read on various forums and know its safe....

110 increase from a remap alone with no other mods....no chance, not even the best remapper could do that.

There won't be any free remaps done by anyone. The ones who offer them, 99.9% of the time they'll do more harm than good to your car.

That shouldn't be to difficult. Limit the travel of the throttle pedal. Put something underneath like a peace of wood. The old fashion way was an egg under the pedal, but that's so messy when it brakes.

program is executed
Press PATCH
Select the file you want modding
When the patch is out okay alert
it only took a few seconds
It's that simple
BAK extension, file the original
If you have selected a file has been tuning

Blow turbo, injectors broken, clutch crash, broken pistons, engine completely down, Etc..... :embarassed:

Good tuned files cost under price of motor parts...
If you want very good work, also pay for dyno tune.... :)

Remember that when you was in side of the road in the grass (or SAFETY BARRIER !) with the rain.... :confused:

I have reading some ecus and I take the original files...If I d like to write in the ecu the mod file what I must change in the mod file to start the engine and how I can do this change!!

This tuningfile contains several logical errors.
Drivers wish too low for adjusted torque limiters, smoke map also too low and scaling not edited properly, ambient pressure correction lower than adjusted boost, single byte boost limiter not done at all, vtg map changes of 1% will also not have any effect.
As i always say: You get for what you pay! And if a file is free you know what you can expect.

Don't you recognise that when someone asks for the 5th or 6th file in a short period it cannot be his own private car?

"For max power" that engine should be tuned at dyno and at least with AFR measure.

All these requests should be answered only by mothinas, because it was him who offered free tuningfiles.
But obviously he cannot do it. He has 24Thanks and only 4 posts and not done a single file.

One more thing - if one car works good with certain dump it not means that second car with the same engine also will work good with that dump.

Hi you must buy a pro file and flash your ecu yourself, trust me out of hundreds Ive never seen a good free file, tuning box with boost is what you'll get at best and for your engine/clutch etc I hope thats what you get. Btw paying doesnt guarantee good work either lol
edit I dont sell files over the net myself but if you want I'll take a peak at whatever your buying/getting before flashing and give an honest opinion.

N/a petrol??? Your pissing in the wind bud without hardware mods, you need more air and without a turbo to increase pressure theres no way by ecu file alone. Try a decent exhaust and induction kit you may find a little there by helping it breath. It helped my honda but tbh I'm not sure how the alfa will react.

You're welcome, there are two ways tuning can work - as a hobbyist where you give it all your time, and give it some money for your own gear etc, or there is the professional approach where you get someone else to do it on your behalf.

The problem is when you invest in the equipment, and not the time to do it yourself, and therefore find yourself asking for files -you're essentially letting someone play with your car (yes, I mean play). They are not being compensated for their time, and invariably they do a crap job.

It is not me, or anyone else being cynical in the extreme, it's how it truly is.

I will never make a penny out of you, i do not know you - but i know if you were to get a free tuning file, it would be rubbish. Why? Because anybody who has put in the time to do it properly won't do it for free.

In the tuning world - that's funamental. If you do your own tuning that's fine, but files from other sources are never, ever free (or cheap). Because good files cost money to produce (because they are developed rather than 'made', therefore it's not people being greedy, but rather an economic impossibility.

It's good in a way, it can save you a lot of heartache. Yes I know it probably looks like people are just money grabbing but one day you might understand why it has to be so.

to be honest, from a hobbyist perspective there probably is such a person and they mioght even be willing to help, the problem's with ensuring quality.

The guy who started this thread I imagine is 'long gone' - he was probably just leaching for original files from people, but now and then people do offer help and you should always be (constructively) critical of why people would do it for free.

I mean, there are people out there i'm sure know their stuff and will help, but..well, I don't know how to phrase it really, you just have to be careful. Think of it like buying in a town's market, everyone can buy anything from anyone and you don't know where it's coming from, so it's tricky.

after at last getting my car running well with no dpf (removed it completely) and getting the turbo to boost and reflashing the ecu i thought it would be nice to have a bit more power but never mind i have spent enough money on this french crap now,its been like driving around in a christmas tree with all the lights on the dash , new road spring and suspension link last week its never ending , last year 2 nd clutch and flywheel ...but ok now for a bit till the next episode

the polaris is easy to do..the problem is that there is no checksum, what ecu it has?

Thanks for answering. This is my ecu, the chip is a AM29F010B. I have read with a programmer. No way to manually calculate the checksum. It would be kind enough to help a little with the maps to understand a little more but too much to ask. Thank you very much again

there are very few maps, checksum cannot be done manually, i dunno what will happen if you wrote the file without the checksum...you can try

I will try. I could help with reprogramming, there are few maps but I can not understand which is which. I could help you understand a little more with a simple modification to compare.

I think in every forum you take 10 or 20 and you give at least 1 back. If everything was for money you would not have nothing free. We all learn things on forums and when we can share our knowledge. I used to give lots of my free time on forums now no more due to little baby/ house mortgage/ and all the rest. When I can (not as much as I used to) I still do. There is a better world out there thanks to you all.:hello:

I'm sorry if anyone was offended by something, but I have not asked for anything special I'm on a forum in which said free reprogramming and other forum users have asked a simple reprogramming the same as others then I will use as my I agree. Thanks anyway.
