try switching of at the back and press the menu button and hold while switching back on at the back this should bring you into the default loadermenu you can reload patches from here
if this does not work you will have to do a forced download with nul modem lead and loader program in future make sure you load patches by the adviced way
1)back up channel list
2)factory reset
3)load original technomate firmware(can be got from technomate.uk download section)
4)factory reset
5)load latest patch
6)factory reset
7)put back channellist and rescan all channels in use
if you don't use this method in between patches you might get stuck with bugs/problems on your tm
cause old bits of patches/firmware may remain in your tm.
and it is very important to do factory resets

Hi. I must admit that my TM5400 SUPER if you try to load an incorrect patch it will tell you. It gives message 'INVALID FIRMWARE' and stops without doing any damage. I we saying that there is a way to load an incorrect patch regardless??

no sometimes you can get a patch with a glitch in it maybe
while you were downloading it something happened and it might stop your tm from working or responding at all ,usualy a forced download will fix this ,becuase this clears the whole memory of your tm before loading the upgrade.
or what might happen is if you don't do any factory reset's inbetween patches the tm might get conflict info from bits of older firmware/patches and become inresponsive
This is the reason why you have to do factory resets
but always make sure to have your channellist backed up first

Hi. Thanks for that info. I know in the old days the receiver would overwrite the current sofware and then look at the patch so if you had an incorrect patch you would be stuck with a dead box. But now the receiver checks the patch first and then overwrites , this is why you get the invalid firmware message. But i suppose like you say if the patch is corrupt anything can happen. Regards.
