hi all i need to get new sound card , what i need to know is what is the best or what to look for when buying ???

What are you wanting to do with it?

You can get a basic 5.1 surround PCI card for under a tenner, or if you are a serious musician you can pay hundreds, probably thousands.

Most people get by just fine with the cheap onboard audio chipset on their motherboard, which is the equivalent of the sub ?10 cards.
