Hi Guys,

I have a problem with a 1995 BMW e36 316i Compact. It has EWS II.

Car does not start, and also it doesn't even crank. So immo is active.

INPA gives the following error code in the EWS:

How can I pair this key with the EWS? (it is the original #1 key of the car)

I've tried to read the MC68HC11EA9 with Xprog M. I've tried it on board and now desoldered and tried to read with the appropriate adapter.

I still get "device is silent" error.

Should I alter the oscillator settings?

Thanks Mate! It's HW01 SW01!

What should I do with your file ? As right now there's the original key in the car which doesn't start.

Is your file a virgine file for the EWS?

Okay. Preferably I'm looking for a solution to sync the existing key to the EWS, or restore the EWS to virgin state.

But I still can't read the bloody MCU out :( "Device is silent"

OR!!! It would be also great to make the immo off completely!!! DME is a Bosch 0 261 203 276.

you need to set oscillator to 5529600 mhz to read it with Xprog in HC11 adapter

WOW! Thanks Mate! Managed to read it out! I think XProg would read it out onboard too, using the same oscillator setting and Rx cut!

I've attached the dump! Looking for a virgin dump from this, so I could sync the existing key, and then sync the EWS to the DME.
