Protek 9750

Hi all im thinking about getting a protek 9750 as i hear they are basically plug and play and update thru your remote etc. Is there anyone out there that owns one if so what are the pros and cons of this reciever. many thanks

i dont own one but i know quite a bit about them.

pro,s... easy to set up, auto updating software, hd picture, excellent team behind them, no time limit on gift as such

con,s... no emulator for keys/softcam, no c**am facility although has newcamd, price imho there a little expensive

If i got a few years out of it i would be happy. Do you think the support team and gift would still be around then?? From what i have read they take pride in customer care is this the case do you know?

How much are they and is there a list of the gift channels? How does it compare to the Spiderbox? RE Gift and Price.

Couple on that well known auction site at the mo.I have one since Jan 2011 and it has been great auto updating when you power up if changes have been made.New bouquets added occasionally and the odd one dropped.
Nice looking unit and beautiful quality HD pictures.I paid 268 new and its been worth every penny.Other models have appeared but can't comment on them.
