Hi guys need some help got rangerover sport 2007, its a stolen and recovered! dont know much history about the car so **** knows whats right and whats wrong on the car, first off i had comm's problems with IPC so just to make sure i replace BCM and IPC because i didnt know what deal was with the original stuff on the car every thing seems to be fine with the car now on the diagnostic side of it! apart from the key programming side always coming up failed. so i told the guy to order a key from the sealers they side 5 weeks back order for one something to do with the key manufacture problems in other country or something like that , anyway he said he had found one on ebay (Apparently NEW!) what i need to know is what stat is the key when bought from dealer LOCKED or UNLOCKED?? because i read key in zedbull and key read as LOCKED , is it ment to be locked or unlocked when new from dealer? i know the obvious answer is unlocked but i need to find someone that read key befor programmed.....

seem to think, but no idea who or what thread, somebody here, brought a load of chips off chinky man, - they all said locked - somebody explained about a possable reason, but who, what why or which tread, can't remebre.

there was a dedicatied transponder thread somewhere!

i do not know if it relates but I got used key (not working now) for a Volvo and it says locked, new unprogrammed key for the same car reads as unlocked. It is Megamos Crypto 48 key. So maybe they should be unlocked, otherwise how to program them. I also saw some transponders reader/writers listing function unlocking locked transponders.

if its new it should come with bar code,also it shouldnt be locked,i have a new one in the shop,will check the key data for you tmro.most likley that they put the key in a new shell!

if that is the case,you wont be able to programm it in.

Sure ,will check tmro.also come to think of it,the key and remote gets programmed at the same time,so no need for the bar code.

Right,just checked the rang rover sport remote that i have,it reads blank pcf7941/password/manchester mode, 46 cryto WR, which means its not locked,so im afraid you cant use that one.

Just to confirm this is the same key we are looking and was bought from the dealer ?at and what was the programmer you used to read key with ???

Yes!,thats the exact key that i have.my adpro can do these with ease,just for your info.i used zbull,to read the key info.

Programmed with JLR SDD, PIN not needed for landrovers mate.

you have 2 options to make a key to a all key lost situation for Range sport :
1st key from dealer
2nd if you have TMPRO
otherwise you cant program key for that situation

I made this car without keys. Order key from dealer, it come locked and cut then program it with X100+
new and not locked key wont programm.

Ian, remember reading its a secure PIC (small MCU). read with caution !

I don't know about clone , I have both genuine vcm 1 and DA-VINA they also sell DA-dongle for less Money
