Dear all,
I need to remove the crash data of this module to have it working again.

I have an eprom programmer (GALEP 5) and a lot of obd/bdm programmers. But I don't know what tool I should use to read the file.
Also got INPA.
Could anybody assist me with this?
Best regards,
Tomba

Hi Morfej,
I found the 95640 you pointed out (see attached pic). What is best;
- remove eprom and read out with galep or;
- read out with bdm serial E2Prom?
I think it should be possible with BDM but don't know how to. I can not see a 10 pins bdm points on the circuit board. Maybe I need to solder the pins of the 95640?
do you know how to connect it? Or is removing the eprom the best solution?

Tom

Thanks!
Galep 5 is an eprom programmer ;-).
I need to order some decent desoldering equipment. I think my Weller 25W station is not capable to do the job.
If you have any suggestions please name them. Once I have it and desoldered the eprom I will post the file.

if you do not have the required adapter, you must order.

Hi,
I was thinking to use a hot air gun, but with all the small resitors in place I might damage them or blow them away... Covering the places next to the IC would be a solution.
So creating a tin bad would be the solution or an adapter like you said fitted to the solder gun.
May I ask what kind of equipment you use to remove such small IC's? I am searching for a reasanable priced de-soldering station. So far I looked to different stations (Aoyue 2702+) but I don't think this will do it for this job.

Tom

You need hot air desolder station, a long time ago when I didn't have that kind of soldering/desoldering station I did it with a ordinary soldering iron, first heat pins and carefully lift a little one side of the chip, then the other

Well after ordering all the stuff and a lot of practice on old sound cards, modem cards and video cards I finally managed to read the chip.
What a ..... job to get it right on the DIL header. I think I'll make something from the old soundcard board for maybe future projects ;-).
File attached.

Are you meaning an adapter to put the small chip on to read it with an eprom reader? If yes, do you know a site were I can order one?
Thanks in advance!

On this particular derm, it is best to take off the chip. There are many ways to take it off.............regular soldering gun is one of them.............

I have taken it off with a hot air station.
File is posted above.
