Lite On Help

Hi Guys,

Ive got a 360 that was flashed with the 1.91? firmware about a week before the lt 2 came out. I phone the guy who did it for me and he wants another ?30 to reflash the lt 2. As you can imagine i told him to jog on.

I want to flash the lt 2 myself. I have downloaded jungle flasher and the latest stock and lt 2 fw for my lite on (initially thought it was a benq but its a lite on)

Xbox is in front of me in bits and external sata slot on my pc is ready to roll. I intend using the power supply from the xbox to fire up the drive. (Was told this was ok)

Only issue i have is i have read all the tutorials e.t.c but they ask for the dummy.bin file. As i did not originally flash my drive i havent got this file and now i am stuck on how to flash to stock then flash the lt 2

Anyone fancy pointing me in the right direction or offer to give me a quick guide?

In order to reflash i'm afraid you need to redump firmware to obtain dummy file to obtain drive key. I use ck3 pro and probe v3 bundle to flash phat liteon drives and its pretty simple to do using tutorials on here.

There is also a usb pro kit on market which apparently makes things even easier although i haven't used this myself.

The person who originally flashed your console should have given you a copy of your original drive key dummy.bin on disc as it makes things so much easier in future udating of drives firmware without the need to redump key. The reason he didn't is because he was looking to rip you off each time you needed a reflash. I suggest you ask this tightarse for a copy of your drivekey, if he hasn't got it then demand he updates your firmware for free.

yeah mate get the usb pro and a probe3, this will do it in minutes.

you cnt get the dummy file without the ck3. the guy who flashed it for u sholud have given you the dummy file.

The probe is used to obtain drive info. If you got the right dummy.bin then you won't need the probe.

As for powering and flashing you can do this by using the xbox but I recomend a ck3. You can use a compatable sata chipset to link to pc

Cheers cunny. The Guy who flashed my drive before never gave me the dummy. Bin so I'm gonna have to get a probe if i can find one.

Being a cheap git ill probably use the Xbox power as all the places I looked for a ck3 kit had sold out
