Ecuvonix. Whats with them ???

Hi, good afternoon members.
I believe and support original tools and software are best solutions.
So I was looking for a software to do "clear ecus dumps". I decided to get the one from Ecuvonix.
In the paper it supports a very wide range of brands and models. Soft its easy to use. Open crash dump, clear crash dump, programm back cleared dump. Fine.
But when the two first attemps I made, both failed, and I mean failed in the car, once the unit was back in car, resulting with crash not cleared, and with lights still on, that makes me................
Have to do all the job again, with other tools, of course.
Have sent mail to them with just one case of the two, in fact I sent the last one which failed and...................nothing, nothing.
No answer, as simply as that.

Is there anyone using this software (original), how does it really do ??? whats your experience with it ????
What about support ???
Have I been ripped with this ???

Hi.Post files with data read and modified.model cars and airbag ecu.may be wrong to read or write.

But do you think I have readed once, and thats it ???
I read once, and again, and again, verify the file readed, then wrote back to eep. Then read again, and compare with the original, to see the changes (can see changed,but no way to know if working).
Then put eep. back on Ecu, to realise its not clear. And then BACK to stage 1. Open ecu, desolder epp. etc, etc, etc.
That could be bad read, yes sure, always can be.

But if two, not one, two, softwares tells you file its right readed and written. And if softwares are original.

Or maybe the way its to read, post, and open a public discussion about file readed??? Some would say, yours is wrong, mine its right, and viceversa.
Then it becomes a nightmare of try, test.
What for are those softwares we pay???
And where are developers and support???

Hi m8, there is no better way than the old fashioned way..............do it yourself using ur brain. Software works only sometimes..............just an opinion.

The only and best way is to read the chip with GOOD tool, post the dump HERE and wait.... If you're lucky, somebody will respond... All those kind of soft is useless!

i have original ecu vonix, like what szkeptmen has say, but i think it is only 50% ok only.

Do you know if "ON LINE Service from TachoSoft Team", is reilable enough, or its just another "try and test" solution.
I?m talking about payed service, not the free 6.4 free version.
Have sent mail to Ecuvonix but........simply silent, no answer.

you get tired in vain.I wonder?a procedure resoftare airbag ECU is so fair to the manufacturer?ecuvonix airbag ecu invented?no.only sell a commodity and therefore unofficial, there is no guarantee.

1.- I?m not tired in vain. I?m tired of those who sell as "tested solutions" things that they never have test.
Ecuvonix advertised:
-44 brands.
-1987 compatible System.
And thats what I paid for, and thats what me or any other user should get. What they advertise.

OR CAN YOU TELL ME WHERE IN THEIR PAGE THEY SAY, WARN:
"OUR SOLUTIONS IN THE 44 BRANDS AND 1987 SYSTEMS ARE NOT TESTED, WE CAN NOT GUARANTEE ITS FUNTIONALLY AND ACCURACY. SO CLIENT HAS JUST TO TEST IF IT WORKS OR NOT.

This kind of things is what makes people buying clones and cracks.
If I pay for an original product, I want it with all its functions, exactly as advertised by seller.
If product doesnt match, do, work, what it should, one feel ripped, and angry.
If its accuracy its a 40-50% what they say, I should get 40-50% of payment back!!!!
All those who steal clients with crap, they deserve to be copied, cracked, banned, wiped, etc, etc.

But you know what???.....never mind... I will survive.

try use carprog, normally if it is listed in their programs , it is ok for my case,

weltune, there are cases where carprog also don't do it ok... but for shure the procentage of ok cleared dumps is much higher than ecuvonix.

i have carprog. and they have done many mistakes with there data. i have sent them working solutions to update there software. but they dont fix or update there data.

Carprog has many mistakes.... lost count of wrong airbag solutions they got there...

Tachosoft much more mistakes. As said before use your head and brains! If think it's too much just leave it to thoose who make a living of it.

Thanks to all for your opinions.
If as you say, Carprog, Tachosoft, etc, are as well plenty of mistakes, then I keep out of them.
I dont care investing in tools/softwares that helps me and makes my work/time easier/effective, in fact thats they way I think it should be.
But investing in working and tested solutions, not to use me/us as laboratory to test what they NEVER DID.
And instead of uploading crashed data, to wait someone(thanks) clean it for me, as you say I would prefer to use head/brain to do my self, but so many questions,
Types of eep., addresses, bytes to change, discover which, etc, etc.
By just compairing one crash and clean, can see, learn which bytes change, and how to convert that into a rule ????
I like more going fishing, than someone gives me fish.
