Hi guys i've been asked to make a key for a 1 series bmw, all keys have been lost. It has the CAS system with the square, bladeless key, electric steering lock etc. I have hitag, gambit and x-prog. Judging by my software i can generate a transponder for this vehicle by the reading the cas module. The only issue i have is, do these cars accept just a normal blade key? Or do i need a new remote/square key to get this car running??? Any help or advice would be appreciated. Thanks

Of course they dont use a blade key mate, do you see an ignition switch anywhere on that car? Its CAS Smart key system only. Just put a PCF7936 in a spare key shell and that will work fine.
