Hi guys,

I looked at a 2003 w220 S430 yesterday. it was hit in the front and now it wont start. And my diag tool would not comunicate to any modules in the car to do any diagnostics.
I'll have to look for damaget wiring/shorts when the body shop starts taking it appart to get better access.
i was just wondering if anyone with more experiance with benzes has an idea if i'm miaybe missing something simple why it wont start or let me diagnose it.

Thanks,

Has the airbags gone off? It probably has a pyrotechnic battery isolator right next to the battery that has gone off.

yes airbags went off...I'll check for that
but would this cut power completely to the car or? ...car has power when ignition is turned on, everything inside powers on, dash, sound system....

yea that's what i though, it must have some wires cut somewhere or bad fuses. It was just a little weird that it would'nt let me comunicate to any diagnostics...
