dell inspiron mini no sound...?

hi there, my daughter has a dell inspiron mini laptop and the sound has stopped working on it, i have gone through all the sound settings but its still the same, shes loves her music on it so i have a headache listening to her giving me grief to try get it fixed....:damnmate:
