Code is not in front panel, it is in main unit, location of the main unit is well shown in the following topic

http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums/f176/cabasse-tronic-auditorium-changer-code-235756/

Renault pre-code calculator would not help, it is Alpine unit.

Yes, they use the similar ref. numbering system TO123 to encrypt the code, but algo is different...

So, read that dump in the main unit and post it here

F481=4354 is for PHILIPS/Renault, but not for Alpine units

Code for above model is not stored in front panel dump, it is in main unit, and the location of main unit is shown on the picture below (depending on model) and BTW code is not crypted, chip is 24c32 and not 24c01 like in front panel:

If replace only Alpine - system will ask code, prompted new!! code. This code stored in panel....

(8 200 207 099 T F481) - this is from main unit....

Maybe, I do not know that, but if we are talking about to recover original code for Alpine units, I must admit again that it is stored in main unit, EEPROM 24c32 and not panel. I do not know how it is done if you replace Alpine unit, question is to recover original code of units.

and Alpine unit code with sec. number for example F481 is not 4354, it would be correct code in case it is Philips units, but not in case of Alpine.

As an example pl. see attached picture, 2 serials on the label:

1) AL 98 52 14431 - native Alpine serial
2) TO123 renault like - R962, but code is not 8078 like it is calculated from usual Renault Sec.Code algorithm

So, if one needs to recover original code of Alpine units, must read 24c32 from main unit and not panel

Correct me please if I am wrong...

If system am from original (factory) device - all components have same code...
I think we're both right ...
