red cas 3 programmer com problem ...
hello guys i got this as back-up and have never used but i tried to install on my laptop
1 put driver disk in my laptop
2 switched on cas 3 prog my system recognized hardware.
3 prompted to install usb serial convertor driver.....driver installed
4 then another prompt install another driver done this .
5 ran set-up r260 exe -- installed no probs. selected com 3 and checked within device manager all ok
6 wired up a old cas module i had..status light comes on cas prog .. keeps tryin to link but no unlock of mcu...
7 i ran the test option within the r260 software .[[[can/van..searching]]]
[[[r2xx r260.v102]]]
i believe this to be a driver/com problem as the test option can/van should be found also ..i have genuine r260 and wired up a old cas unit i had and it read no probs ..now ive read a few threads on here but maybe im missing something
