mini cooper remote matching

What tool is best to match mini cooper 04/05 two button remote with the known barcode string?
Tools available are master x-431, inpa, GT1 diagnostics.

Hi i have a mini cooper S to programe a new ADVANCED KEYS remote, i used mvp pro, i choosed a new position finished the procedure, car doesnt respond but i can see 2 sixteen digit codes registered in cars memory .
Any assistance please ?

Isn't there 2 systems ??

Also check if entered correctly and any spaces replace with '#'

Maybe able to overwrite that position but you will have a few more so wouldn't worry

Also one last thought - check doors are all closed while programming and operating remote !!!! :)

Yes with system 2 i get failed when checking next used position .
Doors where closed but i noticed that central locking doesnt work by drivers door lock

Common to have door problems on mini.

AD does have bugs mind like the rest :)

How do you add a remote to these minis using x-431 ? cannot find it in the menus only adding and deleting the actual keys

or will skp900 or t300 do this ?

Launch X431 has some bugs in software,especially if using not genuine ones.
I use launch431.com updates for diagnostics mainly,and I have to switchback to Old Fiat and Renault for cards programming.
They lost old functions for programming in old cars,but in new ones they kept it.

Cant get much easier than this, but i find t300 a bit hit and miss at times.

sorry to seem a bit thick but i only recently bought these devices and they need to be connected to a vehicle so i cant sit in my house and check the menus.
just after a bit of guidence as to what i need to do to add a remote to a friends car.
2001 mini, i have the barcode calc so from my understanding a just get my t300 and select bmw>remote...... then enter barcode data and it will work ?
