Please help me. I will install fuel injection pump of MAN engine, model D2530 MF. This is 15.9 liter 10 cylinder engine, naturally aspirated, year model 1972 - 1983.......very old engine.....

I need the static timing info in degrees before TDC.

Many thanks in advance.

Hi almnan. I timed the pump at 27 deg btdc but engine runs a bit rough with some white smoke. Power is good though.

Is there another pump timing? A friend told me to try 11 degrees btdc......

Thanks again.

91840Them engines were 24 deg +/- 2 deg the best I found was 22.5 to 23 deg all ways smoke on cold start untill cylinder temp come up to opperating temp hope this helps and have attach timing specs for old man engines and remeber six cylinder engine have no 1 cylinder at rear and no 6 at front
Must spill time do not do of pointers

Thanks toshor. This is a 10 cylinder non-turbo engine. I tried both 27 deg and 11 deg. Like you said, both have white smoke at cold idle and no smoke when engine is hot. Engine seems to have less power at 11 deg. I will try 22 - 23 deg spill timing.

Thanks again.
