Can we install more than one instance of Mgcamd in DreamBox DM500S receiver?

I have mgcamd, cccam and rqcamd on my DM500S now and I can select which softcam I want to use by selecting the Default SoftCam from the Softcam setup screen.
I have 3 or more different server connections in each of these softcams and they should fail-over if one of the servers are down - but if the server is overloaded and seizes it doesn't release the users to fail-over to the next server in the list. The only way to get out is to select one of the other softcams and do a "Save and restart cam".

Instead of using Cccam and rqcamd as the other softcams I would like to use 3 different instances of Mgcamd - is this possible.
With rqcamd you can rename the rqcamd program and its config file to any name you want - so you can have several different installations.

I haven't seen any options where you can rename Mgcamd and its config files to anything other then mgcamd and newcamd.list.

hi,
if you have more than one server
just use one softcam, you don't need more softcam,
i am using cccam 2.2.1 with 3 different server.
just add line one after another in cnfg. it will swich automatic according your channel.
you can add up to 16 server

hope this will help !!!

Thanks niljaviya - but the problem I am having that it won't fail over to the next server in the list if the first server is frozen.
The frozen server does not release the user - they are stuck there with a frozen screen unless they reboot or can chose a different softcam.

I have mgcamd and there are 3 servers listed in the newcamd.list - let's say the receiver is connected to the second server in the list and then that server freezes up with a CPU overload for whatever reason. Then the receiver is stuck on that server and does not fail over to the third server in the list or back to the first server.

I also have Cccam and Rqcamd on each receiver and they each have 3 servers listed in their config file.
If the receiver is stuck on Mgcamd then the user can either select Rqcamd or Cccam as the Default SoftCam from the Softcam setup page - then Save and restart cam and they are back watching TV.

Instead of using Cccam or Rqcamd - I would like to use 1 or 2 other instances of Mgcamd.
So if the first instance of Mgcamd is frozen - then the user can select instance 2 or 3 of Mgcamd to escape the frozen instance.
