I cant help with reciever but you wont get anything from europe at your location 30W(south american beam) and 99W are your best bet needing at least a 1.5 metre dish.If I was you I"d try the sadoun web site in america Discussion of KU and C Band Free to Air (FTA) Satellite Equipment and reception (http://www.sadoun.net/forums/free-air-satellite/) they will be better able to help you.

you have no chance of the european satellites , so best try a usa forum for better advice on north american sats , receivers , lnb,s and anything else you need to know

there seems little point purchasing a european receiver for a usa based reception problem , stick to whatever others are using in your area , especially around the caribbean and florida

good luck
