hi guys,im thinking about taking my old pc apart and wondered would i be able to use the hdd to play movies and music through my dvd player via the usb function.thanx

If you put it in a caddy and its compatable then yes

Which DVD Player?

and I would suspect yes but you would need to format it as FAT32. What size is the drive?

ive already used normal external hdd on the dvd player which works fine,its 80gig.
