Yes No Typo here , its a 6 PIN chip ,,, work on these in 2008 , very few autos used this back then, now i see them in the new Lincoln MKX-MKT :ridinghorse:

Hers is the pic BTW, i try to read it on board back then = No Success

so best is to unsolder , so you don't lose any DATA.

hi
u can read the 6 leg eeprom of 93c66X16 using upa programmer and adapters incircuit and need tachosoft calcualtor for calcualtion.In tachosoft calculation u need to swap bites else u get error in display.Need to coneect 6 wire around chip.all the board has thin glue on every component so need to clear the contact around chip.
thankx

Just look where is GND from those 6 pins.
That will be pin N? 5 from a regular 93c66...

DO GND DI

So N?1 is pointed toward the NEC micro in your picture, because pen 2 is the GND.

thanks for the fast respond !! ... i don't want to upset you , but why with the datasheet of the micro they enter in port of the LCD ? please forgive me if you have done Enclave before and the method work for you i will follows your path if yes , but for me right now that don't made sense ?

indeed, thats the correct image !
solder it out and make some adapter from the 6 pins to the 8 pins to read and write.

The data out goes in data IN from the Nec, as also the data in from eeprom goes to data out from Nec.
i dont see any connection to a LCD...

anyway dont care about that, just desolder it and connect it as you where reading a regular 93c66

no, i never had an Enclave here, but i could do it by OBDII with my DP-3 for example..

my bad sorry to misleading you ...but in the pdf of the NEC micro upd70f3421 you can assign to a lcd display (pin 91 to pin 104) , but i re-read my pdf you can also assign it to
pin =91 sckb1 OR seg 20 of a LCD
pin=92 sob1 OR seg 21 of a LCD
pin=93 sib1 OR seg 22 of a LCD
many thanks to have take time for me
i have see the light i think
