Hi everybody,
I have problems with bmw e46 3.0d 2003 sometimes it cant read key, car has only one key, and I dont know where could be a problem, all the wiring is ok. I tried to measure coil ring resistance and its about 3ohm.. is it good? also I have read ews with xprog dump is attached..

maybe the coil in the key is the problem

There are fine coal in the coil is broken, the car keys does not work

try putting a blob of hot glue on each side of the coil and then see if problem goes away. its not a perfect fix but if the coil is moving due to a break then it will stop that problem. BMW didnt do this in all there keys but I have seen it done in quite a few of the MIni cooper keys which are identical to the BMW Keys inside anyway, 2005 onwards only though, the earlier mini keys are different of course

Maybe someone could check dump? tried change reading coil above ignition swithc.. but no luck the same problem.. tryed to make new key with gambit but it writes that dump is corrupt.. thanks

Edit your dump & use old key.

Check the remote battery voltage before use.
Because the rolling code is not complete.

Key0,1,2 rolling code is not complete.
Key3 active.

I had already tried like in dump attached.. but the situation is the same.. I have only one key and it no3..
battery voltage is good 3.4v.. I think that eml chip in key is the problem.. it cant be read with gambit.. when I dissasemle key and attached the fob closer to the read coil car starts fine without problems..

Problem solved.. as I thought problem was the key.. made chip pcf7935 and car now starts fine without problems, thanks for help everyone ;)

Elmos chips often do not work perfectly.
And this resulted in a rolling code that is sent is not complete.
