If you dont have dyno why are you trying to tune ? You cannot guess AFR you will destroy engine

Only an outdated un-updateable, cracked, version is free.
By paying the paltry fee to have a fully legit software, you are safe-guarding your long term career; thr more money the manufacturers have, the more they can invest in dealing with newer ecus. It's simple really.

yes mate I agree if you are in the position to buy original uncracked software by all means yes, this is a good working copy for people with less experience with winOLS and would like to see some results than just using the demo,

As for tuning without a dyno, yes once again if youre in the position to buy one amazing tool to have,
road datalogging engine peripherals in coordination with a wideband lambda sensor, checking your data for Knock harmonics etc.. you can still tune, ok not to the levels you would get to with a dynometer but never the less

Also winOLS is a usefull software for manually removing DPF, adding launch control like VAG edc15, bosch hot start repair, egr off.

The euros or others money (Because i have seen this version on a lot of country) was don't distribute at CMD Electronics.

I was started with unofficial winols dos version.Now i work on 4x4 dyno Rotronics with official tool.

And i am happy :)

I do not do Chip Tunning only ecu repairs, I need to check and correct check sums using win0ls...

I have some other programs from DK but little coverage with Siemens etc..

I have read some of the help files but I'm missing something, I have several files orginal and SCP that has had the check sum corrected I'm using these as my testers but it is not working, so is it the user (ME) lacking knowledge or a program that does not work which is making my experience even harder...

It does have bugs, but that said, so does 1.5.

I'm not sure if 1.5 bug is down to cracking, but it's memory utilisation is poor and I beleive it has a leak (gets sluggish over time even with no projects open).

Anyway this version seems to run well but seems to have a few short circuits, asks me if I want to close the project when rotating maps etc.

Nothing apparently too major but a little annoying. If you paid for it though, well done lol.

It is not the way Dakta but just little words for make an advice in this soft :

No crash for my friends and for me but only on windows XP service pack 3.

And for windows 7 x86 or x64 not work or not work properly.
I do not test on virtual mode, in all case i don't recommend usage of any software for chiptune on this version of windows.

I think it depends how intense you work with it.
comparing .ols files with >10.000 maps and it crashes quite often.
regardless if Win XP V1.500, V1721 bug or bugles

Do respect the efforts, but i just disagree that it's 100% bugfree, whether its the version or the cracking, I do not know. It isn't, however, the computer, but I don't find the bugs to be a serious issue so i do make use of the software, and like I said, appreciate the effort.

Why it sends everyone into upset to hear the slightest feedback I don't know. It seems to be a good effort, and on the whole I quite like it. I'm just a bit surprised people take the comments the way they have though.

I've been tuning with Tunerpro and the map are predefined, I'm not as familiar with WIN OLS and without map definitions it seems the purchase price would be a bit high for just checksum correctors when there are free ones available....

N0 EVC do not sell map packs. , but you can buy map packs and projects from the resellers (other pro users) listed on there website.

Winols allows you to make your own map definitions very quickly. Tuner pro is a lot harder to find maps because there is no 2d map search function. Veiwing tables is more difficult.

When ever it crashes, next time it restarts and it asks if you want to delete all config files, click no.

If your OLS database has not come back, delete any cache.dir files in xxx\My Documents\Evc\WinOLS and remember to take all your OLS files from the folder and back up once a month or more.

many of the problems described above are due to the win faults...the version works great, just try to install a clean win image, and stop the f..ink updates...also be carefull about what antivirus you use...

I personally solved the mystery ... the user pasted a Smoke map from another file in the algorithm area of the file by mistake. Of course he bricked the ECU by flashing that file. Anyway can be easily solved and it's 100% his fault not the program.
