Can anyone help please, I've done quite a few ds cards in the past but I'm having trouble with this one and cant get anything to be recognised.

3ds is v2.1 and I have dragged the AKAIO 1.8.8 onto the card after formatting it and when ever i turn the 3ds on all i get is a black screen with an error has occured

Any ideas and help appreciated.

what icon does the card show up as?

piccy of an sd card with a pair of wings and a halo on it

I worked out I needed to update the acekard so downloaded the 3ds update for v3 but it can be run in the 3ds, I have an old standard ds but can only run the other update file through that and that doesnt make a difference to booting teh sd card, just get same error message. Is there another way to update the acekard?

right so you have a dslite yes?

1. format your sd card. (fat 32)

2. download latest akaio firmware http://www.acekard.com/download/akaio/AKAIO.1.8.9.zip
then extract the _aio folder and akmenu.nds file to root of sd card.

3. download this file and extract to sd card.
92837

you should now have three items on sd card.
a. _aio folder
b. akmenu.nds file
3. update file.nds file

4. fire it up in dslite and browse to update file exactly the same way as you would do if you were starting a game.
then follow the onscreen instructions.
you need to eject/re-insert card after starting update, then press "a" i think.

when its done, the acekard icon should change to "narnia, prince caspian"

5. delete the update file (leave the _aio folder and akmenu.nds file) from sd card and add some games...

job done.. :)

yeah worked thanks, had those files on there already and was sort of doing the right thing, when running the update through the dslite and it says eject the card plug back in and press the start button, if you press the bottom button it says updated fine instantly so thought that was the correct button, this time i pressed the button above it and voila it update with a percentage counter and then got the caspien icon. Its the start button doesnt have start written next to it and its not the bottom button.

Cheers
