View Full Version : Koyo hydroelectrical power steering unit from fabia

Hi. Maybe someone knows the Idea, what is wrong on those modules? I disassembled couple of them: one had blown output transistor, on had something to do with circuit board, and other had problem with motor. I collected one from three. The thing is that power steering works if, when you start the car, motors shaft is on particular position. there are six places with no start (I marked them), if shaft is on other - motor starts. Well, I think that the one who is fixing those pump units - know what I am talking about. Don't know what to look next...

so make one out of three - chuck the rest.
Suggest the one which no motor has 6 dead spots on armture - or it sezed - burntout - went dead short blew transister

well, maybe there are dead spots on armature, but I doubt that, because motor looks ok - no water, no rusts. Anyway, I am looking to buy a good used koyo pump and I will open it before I put it in car and try to find differences. Have you, Meat-Head, tried to fix koyo pump ever?
