Just bought a Navara with a dead satnav/faulty cd unit ,I can source a second hand unit if some one can tell me where the code data is stored or what is necessary to fit another unit

Yo.
There is a rumor going around -CLEARLY states it's the powersupply in the DVD player has gone for a box of snot.
If you google it - you will find an sort of answer
PLAESE upload what you find here for furture reference
The screen comes on 2 moins - then flashess rest of day?

Thanks beef head,
The screen doesnt come on at all,theres no radio or satnav.its dead.
A second hand dvd player gets a code display on screen,having opened up the old unit and found some corrosion,cant see what is holding the code info...no eeprom .
Thats the help i require to id where the code is.
Or further info on the exact fault

Hi it was a rumor going around started by the local vicar - beleive it was the 'powersupply at the back' - it was an BIG bill for the repair - he had to dock the chior boys wages for a week to pay for it.
Change that arse cocking capacitor - but supectt - fault elsewhere
