Hi there,
We have a Goodmans Freesat box in the living room that has good signal, however we have one in the next room and the signal is intermittent, we have not been able to pick up all the channels available at any one time i.e. sometimes we can watch BBC1 but not other BBC channels and BBC3 drops in and out frequently and occasionally there is no signal at all. We have checked the satellite cable connection at all points between the dish and the freesat box, the dish is for multiple properties and they do not seem to have the same problem.

Any advice appreciated, thanks in advance.

thanks for the quick reply. How do we rectify it? The television and box are brand new.

Have been to the shop and replaced the box but it's still doing the same thing. Any ideas?

if you move your good box to the bad room does that go funny also?if so i would check your connection and make sure they are good, maybe bad connection on lnb or faulty lnb,if you swap cables over at lnb and problem moves to other room lnb must be faulty.

OK, we've swapped the boxes and the cables at the socket in the lounge and the problem remains in the same room. We have looked up LNB's and think that what we have is one socket in the lounge set up for sky and we have one cable running from that into the lounge freesat box and one running into the next room which we are having trouble with. Now we know a bit about LNB's we think need another socket or to go along the Sky Multi-room route, which we don't really want to do. Does that sound about right...??

if the two cables are from 1 feed thats the cause of your problem.you need 1 feed for each tuner
