Elementary question. Have downloaded Darkman_TMLoader_187.exe. I want to update the channels on the Technomate (am missing a lot). Exactly how do I do it?

No need for loader, just put on usb stick-menu-data transfer.

Thanks Manic. Do I just copy it to the USB, then insert the USB into the Technomate? Do I then select USB from the menu? Then what do I do (or is it obvious from then on) ?

Thanks again, both of you. Still unclear. The file I have downloaded is a loader - Darkman_TMLoader_187.exe . Do I need another file? Thijs suggested scanning for channels. Is this a better thing to do. How do I do it? Sorry to ask such elementary questions.

the channel list will be a cndf file copy this to your usb device and goto usb>data tranfer menu and scroll through the file list untill you see the cndf file and okay on this ,couple seconds and your tm will have the new list just make sure you back up your own list first in case you don't like the other list at all you do this in the datattransfer menu by pressing the red button (channel data upload)

You will need a channel list to load, or as suggested just scan satellite.

Do I scan sattelite by selecting BLIND SEARCH. When they are downloaded, is the current channel list overwritten? If so, do I then have to reorder channels to get the needed ones to the top of the list?

Do n ot blindscan as it will fill up the channels too much.
If you do then yes any scan will then need re ordering or deleting etc.

So what is the best way to scan satellite? Alternatively, if I load a channel list, how do I obtain it and will it also fill up the channels too much?

thanks again. The file unzips to a .ndf file (not a .cndf one). Is this ok?

yes, but bear in mind its a personal preference so channels may not suit you but will give you an idea of how it all works.back your present channels up 1st then you can return to them if needed it will just overwrite what you have in at the time. if any particular channels you want are missing you can add them manually by going into>menu>installation>sat setup>advanced search then scroll through the TPs til you find the one the channel is on>red button scan.if not found green button and add the TP manually.

Will let you know if I have any further problems.
