when using my desktop i sometimes get a blue screen with white writing then it shuts down and starts back up on its own with a box sayin windows experienced an unexpected shut down . The writing on the blue screen is only on for a split second so i cant make any of it out please help .:bawling:

yeah you struggle to read it in time, I know that there is a log stored somewhere, C:\WINNT\MEMORY.DMP or something but although I found the log file, I failed to get anything that would open up the file so I could read it. You may have better luck with google.

Heat can cause bluescreen.. fist port of call I would do to clean the fan...

not overheating was just on for half an hour the it happend bt not happend again since and thats been over 2 hours

Goto system properties. Avanced system properties. Startup and recovery.
In this window, untick automatic restart, this will keep the bluescreen on longer, allowing you to get the stop code and file name

Post when you have them.

Will it boot in safe mode? if so more than likely a driver problem. Have you installed any new programs or hardware recently or done any windows updates? Can you roll back to an earlier date when the computer seemed to run ok? all these things can cause blue screening...good luck...
