Satellites reception

Just bought myself a new TM5400 CI+USB and have plugged the satellite feed (which I normal use to get FreeSat) but note that I can only get reception for a few satellites including 28.2E ASTRA2/Eurobird and 19.2E ASTRA1.

I live in a flat and I suspect the satellite feed is from one satellite only (possibly the SKY TV satellite and the position has been set to optimise reception of SKY) and fed to all the other flats.

I would like to get reception from 13.0E Hotbird. Is anyone in the similar situation as me? Can anyone share their experience or help?

I doubt your getting anything other than 28.2E if you cant put a dish up of your own with a clear view of 13E your stuck mate.
you will pick up what appears to be signals from 19E but thats just because the transponders are similar to ones on 28.2 but you wont get any channels from 19E unless either the dish is pointed to it or a multi lnb setup is used.

I have 2 slots that come in the flat - SAT 1 and SAT 2. I have no satellite reception from SAT 1 but get 28.2E from SAT 2.

I will ask the technician looking after the flats if I can get connected to another satellite dish that points to Hotbird through SAT 1.

you never know your luck but sat 1 may be a 2nd 28.2 feed for a twin tuner box.and just disconnected.
