lucas laser 2000

just some advice really been offerd a laser 2000 with loads of modules and leads

ford transit,abs,airbag,bmw,gm,ford,voxal,ect
obd1,obd2,bmw,null modem lead,printer lead,
one huge manual with pc link software..

the chap wants about 800.00 for it
is it worth it or shell i buy a pro-obd2 kit ? ( or makeone ) using a elm375 chip and some other components..

so the laser2000 is a old unit that just tunes stuff not for faultcodes and ecu resets ? thanks smirnoff
