Two question i was wondering if i can get help on.
I've just set up 30w, and im getting D+ on it, but i cant seem to get Sport TV Liga Inglesa HD or the SD one, and hardly of any Meo and cabo. any ideas as to why?
Also, i was in the sat shop today, and i was talking with the man, and he had a DM800se on sale, and he said that with the SE i'll get some TP that i cant on my openbox or dm500, is that true, that a box can allow you to get tps that you cant get on a dm500 or openbox?

Im guessing better tuners will help and obviously a bigger dish.

30w works fine on my sly zone 2 59cm dish , just ensure you have the skew set correctly
no probs here on sport tv , tv inglsesa or meo channels on a spiderbox

Right I see, abit weird. I'm picking up the sport tv channels now. But not the other ones.
It might come in better weather, raining in London.

what size dish are you using ?
I am in lancs and 59cm sly dish with sly quad lnb works fine here , obvioulsy 80cm to 110cm would be better , especially with an inverto ultrablack lnb fitted to it

the openbox is hd/dvbs2 and will get the same txp,s as a dm800se... your dm500 wont get the meo txp,s as they are dvbs2 but they should get the cabo ones. ive fitted a iss 80cm mesh dish with a lemon 0.2db lnb on hispasat here in bolton and its still going strong after nearly 5 years without any problems. try fine tuning your dish with the openbox connected and do a blind scan to see which txp,s it will pick up. the sat shop guy is just trying to sell you the box although his statement was partially correct as the dm500s is mpeg2 and wont pick up the dvbs2 channels that meo uses. merry xmas m8, regards mdt

Right I see, well I'll try with my openbox when I get a new one, I was sold a faulty one so just returned it, it may work, if not, I'll have enough to watch all the Liverpool games.
Cheers fellas. Have a good xmas.

The openbox will receive what ever else a hd receiver can receive.
That sat shop bloke was blowing smoke.
30w easy to receive, if using fixed dish then skwe is essential.
Use dishpointer.com for skew req for your area.

what set top box you using?
if your using a dm800se and as long as your dish is alligned correctly to 30w,
just transfer 'catseyes' bouquets over to your dm800se and go to the sport tv liga inglesa and you should be fine bud! :)

No 800se mate, only 500s and openbox.
Openbox should be here soon, when it comes I'll have a look to see if I can pick it up. Picking up the sport tv channels just not the other ones.
