Hi,
I found two files, both Golf 5 BKC.
Both have the same HW Ident, but the size is
different and as it seems the SW.
Can someone tell me witch SW Versions these are ?
I only know the 6176 f?r the ...016 CB.
Or is it only a other type of read out ?

Hi,
Have a look to this file... i unpacked your packed file, WITHIN the packed 2nd archive.
Due to no .zip or .rar extention on the archive-name, it looked like it was 512kb ;)
Could you be so kind to repost the first file ?
I cannot download it, as it seems corrupt.
Thanks,
PvL

Can someone tell me the SW Version of the ..371429 ?
The ...371094 should be the SW 6176.

Hi chrisi1909,
I think you now understand how this works...
And this answers your question too...
Could you tell me how you got this file ? Normally
full bdm readouts are smaller. This had no compression.
Would really like to know how this is done.
Thanks,
PvL

Hi chrisi1909 (http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums/members/67604-chrisi1909/),
O.k. i will have a look to your link.
According to V.W. flash-cd 55, there is no newer firmware-update for this ecu. Is there a problem
with the car ? Let me guess : warm starts are
not as instant as a cold-start ?
Cheers,
Pvl

With BDM tool you have two options to read full content of ECU:
1. FULL read of FLASH, EEPROM and MPC in sigle file
2. FULL read of FLASH, EEPROM and MPC in separate files
The first metod compress all three in one file (so samaller file), the second reads each one in original, not compressed, like is stored in device and you get like in what you posted.
