I recently setup and installed USB Loader GX to try using instead of CFG or WiiFlow which I normally use. However when I try to load USB Loader GX, it loads the sd card and then sits on Initialize USB Device without going further it just freezes there. Does anyone have any information as to why this would be happening? Everything is updated to the latest it can be.

Make sure that your SD Card is correctly formatted before using it...

I use a tool called usb formatter....

good luck

usbloader gx forwarder will load direct from an apps folder on fat32 partition in the hdd. You do not need to launch it from sd anymore, so instead of sd/apps/usbloadergx the file path will be usb/apps/usbloadergx it doesn't matter if the fat32 partion is first, third or twentieth the forwarder will find it.

I have it installed to the usb HDD, so are my other Loaders, however USB Loader GX acts as if it is starting up, but when it starts to say "Loading.. Initialize USB device" it just hangs there. I let it sit for an hour a little bit ago to see if it was just a weird thing happening but still no luck. I just updated Syscheck and ran it, however I didn't see anything wrong that should effect the USB Loader.

I used to have a problem with an old internal hdd in a caddy with gx. The only way gx would recognize it was to launch gx with the hdd switched off, then switch it on when gx said waiting for your slow usb device, but that needs to be done with gx in the apps folder on an sd card, and your syscheck all looks okay at a quick glance

I'll try putting GX on my SD and loading it without the HDD connected to see what will happen.

Still no luck with it at all, formatted another USB thumb drive to try it with, and the same thing is happening. It is sitting on "Loading... Initialize USB device" forever.

*Edit*
With the smaller thumb drive I connected it sat there forever until it finally said USB Device not found. Then sent me back to the System Menu.

Did you put gx on the sd then run gx and wait till it said waiting for your slow usb device before plugging in thumb drive. Just for the record I've never had much luck running games from thumb drive, they do play but can be a bit choppy. I can only put it down to the slow data transfer rate

I've got a new HDD Case coming in this weekend hopefully, I'll just wait and attempt to use GX then. Maybe it will work, if not I'll be back here with the results.

It might be worth downloading the gx pack again and trying with a different .dol. I think I've seen a couple of packs with different sized files.

Mine is actually not separately partitioned, or in Fat32. My games, usbloader and wiiflow are all on a ntfs formatted 300 gb Western Digital usb powered drive.

it will load from ntfs as well but can be problematic (forwarder sometimes doesn't recognise it) that's why I always recommend fat32 as it is compatible with everything apps emu nand games wiiware the whole shebang
